Special Service Award Recipient, 2018

Kalliopi (Kapi) received the Special Service Award in 2018 for the expansive and supportive work she has contributed to the Guild for years. In 2015, Kapi suggested that GNSI cultivate a more comprehensive and contemporary online presence resulting in the creation of the Social Media Coordinator position, which Kapi held from 2015-2017. In this role, Kapi grew the GNSI Facebook by 2200+ followers and created a GNSI Twitter account that quickly gained 1000+ followers in a few years. Kapi's work growing GNSI's online presence has fostered a strong global community for GNSI members and non-members.

Kapi joined GNSI in 2002. She served on the Education Fund Committee for 9 years, contributed to many annual conferences in various roles, and served as the Guild President from 2020-2022.
