Session I-Graphite  
January 8-March 12, 2019  1:00 or 7:00pm EST
How do you take a three-dimensional object and translate it on a two-dimensional plane? This course offers basic scientific illustration drawing skills in graphite, perspective, proportion, value, textures, scientific conventions, lighting, transferring, scanning, preparing artwork for the web, professional practices. Handouts, tutorials, live video conferencing, email. 

Beginning and intermediate students.

Session II-Pen and Ink
January 7-March 11, 2019 1:00 or 7:00pm EST 
Session II builds on skills learned in Session I. Students become proficient in pen and ink and crowquill. Technique, composition, scratch board, anatomy, professional practices, final projects, handouts, tutorials, live video conferencing and email are included as above. In all Sessions, we work from live material as much as possible.

Open to students who have completed Session I or with permission.
